Privacy
Kalkuz Games (play.kalkuz.dev) is made by Oğuzhan Kalkuz, an independent developer in Ankara, Türkiye. This page explains what the site and its games collect, and the choice you have.
Your game saves
Progress, settings and saves stay in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data deletes them.
Analytics, only if you accept
If you accept, we use PostHog, with servers in the EU, to learn how the site and games are used: the pages you visit, which game you play and for how long, in-game moments such as a run ending or a night survived, loading time and frame rate, errors, your browser, device type and language, and the page that sent you here.
PostHog stores a random ID in your browser so return visits can be counted, and works out your approximate country from your IP address. We don’t collect your name, email or any account details, and we never sell this data. It is kept for up to one year.
If you decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, none of this is collected and the analytics code isn’t loaded at all.
Why
To learn which games people enjoy, where they get stuck and whether they run well, so they can be fixed and improved. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and explicit consent under Türkiye’s KVKK), which also covers storing this data on PostHog’s EU servers.
Hosting
The site is served by Vercel and the games by Cloudflare. Like any web host, they process your IP address and request details to deliver pages and guard against abuse, whether or not you accept analytics.
Ads
The site shows no ads today. If that changes, this page will be updated and you will be asked before any advertising data is used.
Children
The games aren’t made for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices and rights
You can change your choice at any time with Privacy settings, here or in the footer. To see or delete the analytics data linked to your browser, or to ask anything about this page, write through kalkuz.dev/contact.
